Mid December 2020: What’s New on Netflix?

I bet everyone is as excited as I am since the unexpected pandemic year 2020 is finally ending. The last few days are going to be okay – at least that’s what I believe and hope for the most part. However, in spite of everything that we have gone through, we really wish to make the last days enjoyable and worth living. In this way, we might conclude a challenging year on a positive note and look forward to a better one.  

Equinox (2020)  

The mysterious disappearance of a class in 1999 left Astrid pretty distraught. However, after a long time – almost 20 years, she finds out that the only survivor of the 1999 incident suspiciously died. Astrid hit the road and embarks on the journey to find out what really happened to the survivor.  

The cast of the movie involves Danica Curcic as Astrid, Lars Brygmann as Dennis, Karoline Hamm as Ida, Hanne Hedelund as Lene, and others. It is a mini-TV series and is releasing on December 30th, 2020.  

Cops and Robbers (2020)  

Cops and Robbers is an animated short film that is basically a response movie to the brutal murder of Ahmaud Arbery. Timothy Ware and Arnon Manor direct it. Moreover, Timothy Ware himself acts as the protagonist in the film.  

Bridgerton (2020)  

The creator of the movie Chris Van Dusen is brilliant in his works. The film stars Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown, Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, and Ruby Barker as Marina Thompson, among others.   

The movie revolves around the powerful Bridgerton family and their eight children. It shows how wealth, betrayal, and lust rule them over during the Regency era in England. It is releasing on December 25th, 2020.  

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (2020)  

The movie shows the scenario of a recording session held in Chicago in 1927. Things get heated when Ma Rainey and her ambitious band gathers at the recording studio while the white management intervenes to take control.   

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom cast includes Chadwick Boseman as Levee, Viola Davis as Ma Rainey, Glynn Turman as Toledo, and Colman Domingo as Culter, among others. It is going to release on Netflix on December 18th, 2020.  

Sweet Home (2020)  

It is a Korean TV series in which Hyunsoo, a high school loner, loses her family in an accident. Thus, he has to move to an apartment called the Green Home. Eung bok Lee – the director of the movie, has seemingly put a great deal of effort into putting together the movie.  

The cast mainly includes Korean actors such as Dane DiLiegro as creature suit performer, Chase Yi as Ju-Seong, Song Kang as Cha Hyun Soo, Jin Wook Lee as Pyeon Sang Wook, and Lee Si-young as Seo Yi Kyung, among others. You will be able to watch it on Netflix on December 18th, 2020.  

Run On (2020)  

Run On is another Korean love story between Ki Sun Gyeom and Oh Mi Joo. Ki Sun Gyeom has been a famous runner for the national team. However, he quit the sport for some reason and starts working as a sports agent. On the other hand, Oh Mi Joo transcribes the movies. After a few circumstantial events, they meet, and the story begins.  

The cast of Run On includes Si-wan Yim as Ki Seon Gyeom, Se-Kyung Shin as Oh Mi Joo, Choi Sooyoung as Seo Dan Ah, and Tae-oh Kang as Lee Young Hwa, among other prominent members. It is going to release on Netflix on December 16th, 2020.  

How to Ruin Christmas: The Wedding (2020)  

How to Ruin Christmas: The Wedding is a direction of Shaun Paul Piccinino. The story revolves around Tumi, who goes to her home for a holiday and spares no effort in ruining her sister’s wedding. However, she realizes it and tries to fix things before it’s too late and beyond amendments. Thando Thabethe plays the protagonist role in the movie.  

It is coming on Netflix on December 16th, 2020.  

Tiny Pretty Things (2020)  

The movie belongs to the drama, mystery, and thriller genre, unraveling the elite ballet academy’s scenario and how the young adults rise and fall in their chores. All of them living away from their homes try their best to reach to the edge of greatness.  

The cast of the movie includes Shaun Benson as Topher Brooks, Brennan Clost as Shane, Barton Cowperthwaite as Oren, Bayardo De Murguia as Ramon, and Damon J. Gillespie as Caleb, and others. It will be premiering on Netflix on December 14th, 2020.
