Charter Announces Changes in Sales and Marketing Operations

A number of organizational changes have been announced by Charter Communications, Inc. And Spectrum Internet Packages today in order to prepare the business for ongoing development. In this article, we will have a look at some of the promotional duties of Adam Ray, Sharon Peters, Tom Monaghan, Christian Ruiz, and Keith Dardis.

Adam Ray

Adam Ray has been promoted to EVP, Sales Operations & Planning, expanding his responsibilities from MDU Markets to encompass Sales & Retention, Sales and Marketing Analytics and Operations, and Sales and Marketing Analytics and Planning.

Adams’ experience in both senior sales and operational positions, and Sharon’s track record of developing innovative, best-in-class marketing strategies, allow Hargis to maximize their influence on the company by putting complete control of Sales and Marketing under these accomplished executives.

In his last position, Ray worked as Executive Vice President, MDU Markets. In his previous position, he served as the Regional Vice President of Field Operations for the Florida Region. Previously, during his 16 years with Charter, he held positions such as Group Vice President, Residential Direct Sales, Senior Director, Sales and Marketing Operations in Los Angeles, and Director of Sales and Marketing, among others. He came to Charter from Comcast, where he worked as a sales manager in Knoxville, Tennessee, for five years before joining the company.

Since joining Charter in 2016, Peters has been responsible for the development of marketing strategy and techniques for spectrum internet packages, as well as a best-in-class technology and reporting platform that is used to evaluate marketing efficiency.

Sharon Peters

Sharon Peters, SVP Marketing, will be responsible for the whole marketing operation, which will include Marketing & Creative Services, as well as Digital Marketing, in addition to her existing responsibilities.

Prior to joining Charter, Peters worked for Cablevision for 19 years, rising to the position of chief marketing officer, where he was responsible for developing integrated digital, media, and direct marketing strategies and plans for the Optimum brand. Peters has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Michigan.

Tom Monaghan

Mr Tom Monaghan, SVP of Field Operations at Charter, who has been in charge of five of the company’s operating areas, will now be in charge of all eleven operating regions.

All three will report to Jon Hargis, EVP, and Chief Marketing Officer, while Monaghan will continue to be under the supervision of Tom Adams, EVP, Field Operations.

Monaghan, who was most recently responsible for Field Operations in Texas, the South, the Northwest, the Great Lakes, and the Central regions, as well as Standards & Compliance, will now also be responsible for the following geographic regions: the West, Southern Ohio, the Carolinas, New York City, the Northeast, and Florida.

According to Adams, Tom is a recognized specialist in operations management, and extending his supervision to all of our areas best prepares them for ongoing success in engaging with and servicing our increasing client base.

Aside from that, Monaghan has worked as Senior Vice President, Field Operations since 2018 and has had a variety of Field Operations positions since joining Charter in 2014. After leaving Cablevision, where he was Vice President of Field Operations, he accepted the position at Charter. Prior to that, he worked as Senior Vice President at Net2000 Communications. Mr Monaghan began his professional career as a Field Technician with Verizon in 1987, eventually advancing to the position of Area Operations Manager.

Christian Ruiz and Keith Dardis

In addition to these adjustments, Sales leaders Christian Ruiz and Keith Dardis will be given additional duties under Ray’s supervision. When Ruiz becomes SVP, Sales & Retention, his responsibilities will be expanded to include all residential and small- and medium-sized business (SMB) sales and retention functions, including direct sales, Spectrum Stores & Retail, Sales Operations, and Small and Medium-Sized Business Strategic Channels.

The position of SVP, Spectrum Community Solutions, will be expanded to include responsibility for the significant end-to-end product and pricing, sales, service, and operations opportunities in the multi-dwelling unit (MDU) market. Dardis previously served as the company’s director of residential and small and medium-sized business (SMB) direct sales.

Hargis concluded that Christian, who will have significantly broader oversight in Sales & Retention, and Keith, who will be focused on capitalizing on the significant opportunity that exists before Community Solutions in the MDU marketplace, are both well-positioned to contribute significantly to the continued growth of Charter and spectrum internet packages.
